Texas FFA Representatives: Advocating for Agriculture

“Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve.” – National FF A Organization Motto

Twelve words those who wear the iconic national blue FFffA jacket take to heart as they participate in an organization that changes the lives of its 735,038 nationwide members through leadership, personal growth and career success training.

Texas FFffA makes up the largest membership of all states, with more than 154,000 members in nearly 1,200 chapters making a positive difference through agricultural education activities that prepare them for their future. At the helm of Texas FFA are 12 area representatives elected to office each July for one-year terms.

The north Texas area is currently represented by Area IV Representative Ryan Hess and Area V Representative Gunnar Griggs-Bell, who reflect back on their past year of service. Both representatives are determined to advocate for an industry they love and impact it both now through their current roles and in their future careers.
