Each year, some of the best ropers from North Texas and around the country take time out of their busy rodeo schedules to compete at the annual Windy Ryon Memorial Roping. The roping is held Memorial weekend in Saginaw, Texas and is a fan favorite to watch team roping, breakaway roping, calf roping, steer roping, and team tying action.
The 48th annual roping event kicked off May 27 and concluded May 29, with three days of competition. In the Women’s 11.5 team roping, Cassidy Boggs and Rylie Smith were the event champions after roping their steers in 43.72 seconds total.
