Downtown, Saint Jo, TX. It’s Time for Santa on the Square in Saint Jo! This year’s Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce “Santa on the Square” Celebration will be on Saturday, December 8 beginning at 2 p.m. This year’s celebration will include crafts for the children, a live manger, a 42 tournament, and a parade, as we anticipate Santa’s. Live manger scene, window decorations, scavenger hunt, raffle tickets sold until 6:30 p.m., and open 2:00 – 4:00 Crafts for the Children, Live Manger, 42 Tournament – see details below, Free Family Photos 2:30 – 4:00 Choirs perform in the gazebo on the square 4:30 Parade, Santa arrives Cookies, Coffee, & Hot Chocolate provided by Saint Jo’s Century Club 5:00 Adult Choir performs in the gazebo 6:30

In additional to our traditional pictures with Santa, we will also have FREE family photos at the event. And of course, children shouldn’t miss their “goody bag” after telling Santa exactly what’s on their list. Merchants and building owners are decorating their windows to bring in the season, so come early and join the fun. All crafts and food at the event are FREE!! 42 Tournament Want to be play some 42? Our 42 tournament will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chamber Building. Entries are for individuals only (no teams). Entry fee is $10 per person. Prizes in addition to bragging rights are First Place $100.00 | Second Place $75.00 | Third Place $50.00. To enter and receive a complete set of rules email the Chamber at [email protected]. Or click here for rules: 42 Rules. Goodies, Treats And Entertainment Christmas music will be playing from the gazebo. Gift bags for the children will be handed out by Santa himself and photographs will be taken. The Chamber will serve complimentary beans and cornbread. The Century Club will also provide hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies during the event. The Chamber invites everyone in Montague county and surrounding communities to attend. Raffle Prize Drawings Join The Parade! Entries for the parade will need to be submitted by December 2, 2018. Entries can be lighted or not lighted. Entries will need to arrive no later than 3:30pm on December 8 in the vacant lot north of Leeton Phillips house. Parade rules and regulations will be received when you turn in your entry. The mission of Cowboy True is to educate the region about the honor, art and beauty of the cowboy’s daily life. Cowboy True is a celebration to honor working cowboys and the artwork that comes from their daily lives. In 2019, Cowboy True returns to its roots at The Forum. Cowboy True was originally inspired as an effort to raise awareness and funding for The Forum, formerly the home of The Woman’s Forum, which has a long association with the women and families of the North Texas cattle industry. Categories include: bits, spurs, buckles, jewelry, gun/knife engraving, saddles, boots, trappings/gear, photography, paintings, drawings, sculptures, carving and cowboy cartoons. Friday night events include the artists’ reception and opening, Saturday will see daytime activities and the exhibit open to the public, while Saturday evening will consist of a night dinner, live auction and entertainment. All proceeds go to The Forum to assist with programming and mission fulfillment.
