After more than three decades in Las Vegas, Nev., the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo returns to its Texas roots at Globe Life Stadium in Arlington on Dec. 3-12, 2020 for 10 rounds of competition among the world’s top rodeo athletes.
Since the start of COVID-19, rodeos across the nation have been canceled, dates changed and locations moved as organizers attempted to navigate their way through a worldwide pandemic unlike any other in history. The WNFR fell victim as Thomas & Mack Center at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, home to the rodeo, became unavailable for live events due to COVID-19 restrictions in that state.
When organizers began seeking other venue options, a press release from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association said the majority of fans, in response to the nationwide survey conducted by the organization, wanted to see the event where it was born – in the Lone Star State.
