The Big Bend Ranch Rodeo weekend’s events include: Friday, August 11 at 8 a.m. Cutting competition at the o6 Flats arena. 7 p.m. WRCA Rodeo Performance at the Sul Ross S.A.L.E. Arena. Saturday, August 12 at 9 a.m. RHAA competition at the Sul Ross S.A.L.E. Arena. 2 p.m. Youth Cow Horse competition at the Sul Ross S.A.L.E. Arena. 7 p.m. WRCA Rodeo Performance at the Sul Ross S.A.L.E. Arena. Awards Ceremony following performance and 9 p.m. Dance at the Lobo Bar. Sunday, August 13 at 10:30 a.m. Church service at the Big Bend Cowboy Church. We invite you to spend this weekend being entertained by the best cowboys in Texas and New Mexico and at the same time supporting some very worthwhile causes. Experienced dancers start at 5 p.m., newer dancers start at 6 p.m., but are invited to come at 5 p.m. to observe. We suggest wearing loose, cool, comfortable clothing that doesn’t restrict movement. We also suggest soft, flexible leather shoes with no or low heels. Examples would be jazz shoes, ballet slippers and ghillies (Scottish dance shoes). Texas Ranch Roundup showcases top historic Texas ranches, the hard work of the real working cowboy and every facet of ranch life. Ranches will compete in chuckwagon cooking, cowboy art, and of course, real ranch events! Friday and Saturday night enjoy real cowboy action as teams compete in bronc riding, calf doctoring, team branding, team penning and wild cow milking. The arena events kick off at 7 p.m nightly at the MPEC Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita, Falls, TX. 2017 Hotter N’ Hell Hundred – Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall, 1000 5th Street, Wichita Falls, Texas 76301. The Hotter’N Hell 100 celebrates its 36th annual ride in 2017. The weekend kicks off on Thursday with the Consumer Show open to the public from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. inside the MPEC Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall. The Consumer Show continues on Friday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The events kick into high gear on Friday with the 13-mile Wee-Chi-Tah Mountain Bike Race. Then the excitement that the weekend is known for comes to life on Saturday morning with the HH100 Endurance Rides. There’s something for everyone- 10K, 25-mile, 50-mile, 100K and 100-mile. If running is more your thing, then don’t miss the Wee-Chi-Tah Trail Run on Sunday with a half marathon and 10K route. Hotter’N Hell 100 is more than just a bike ride…come out and enjoy the festival atmosphere. This is pure excitement! Wild West – Art exhibit-Old Post Office Museum & Art Center, 510 Third Street – Graham, Texas 76450. Bring your family and friends out to view “Wild West” featuring Art of Doug Prine. Admission is free. The life and times of people in the old west are depicted in Doug Prine’s art work. His attention toward the details that make up life in the old west is one of the most notable things about his work. Prine achieves his goals of historically correct paintings very effectively by using the aids of period dressed models, historical re-enactments and through extensive research.
