Saint Jo’s 4th of July Celebration
July 4
Boggess Park, Saint Jo, Texas. Fourth of July Celebration and Old Jo’s Firecracker 5K Run. The City of Saint Jo, the Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce and the Saint Jo Volunteer Fire Department will once again sponsor a July 4th Star Spangled Spectacular Fireworks show at Boggess City Park, beginning at full dark, around 9 p.m. Live music, free watermelon and a concession stand begins at 6 p.m. The Old Jo’s Firecracker 5K Run will begin at 8 a.m. Please go to, getmeregistered.com, for the entry form and additional information. Merchants on the Saint Jo Chisholm Trail Square will be open until 6 p.m. Pre-show entertainment will also start at 6pm with live music in the First State Bank Pavilion. Beginning at 6 p.m., the concession will open. Bring your lawn chair and join us in the park for an evening of food, fun, games, music and fireworks. Celebrate in style with your family and friends at your side July 4 in Saint Jo at the annual celebration.

Meet the Animals of Frank Buck Zoo
July 6
Discover Denton Welcome Center, 111 W Hickory St., Denton, Texas 76201. Some friends from Frank Buck Zoo will be in the Discover Denton Welcome Center! Head out and see some neat animals! The Frank Buck Zoo, founded in 1954, was named Best Little Zoo in Texas! It attracts 85,000 visitors to Gainesville annually and is acredited by the Zoological Association of America (ZAA). Like what you see and want to pay them a visit? The zoo is open daily except Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day. The Whitesboro Pro Rodeo will be held on Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7 in Whitesboro, Texas. This rodeo is held at Whitesboro Rodeo Grounds and hosted by Flying C Rodeo Company. Events will be bull riding, calf roping, cowgirl’s barrel racing, cowgirl’s breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping. Parker County Peach Festival

Downtown Weatherford, Weatherford, Texas. Take a trip back to yesteryear at the Parker County Peach Festival, held in historic downtown Weatherford, Saturday, July 14, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 2018 marks the 34th annual Peach Festival which always takes place on the second Saturday in July. Admission is only $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Event hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is cash only, $5 for adults and children 12 and under are free. Summer Sounds with Zane Williams
July 27
Downtown Gainesville, Texas. Zane Williams and special guests to be announced. Join us for summer nights on the historic brick streets of Downtown Gainesville, Texas. Our Summer Sounds Concert Series is sponsored by the Gainesville Main Street and is free to the public. Each Friday night concert will take place on the west side of the courthouse square with food and drink sales starting at 5 p.m. and live music starting at 6:15 p.m.
Howdy Party 2018 — July 28, 2018
Come out from 4-10 pm to celebrate all things Aggie and Texas A&M. This annual fundraiser for Parker County Aggie Mom’s Club will include outdoor games, live and silent auction, the exclusive “Aggie Mom Boots”, dinner and live music by Wynn Williams, Class of ’16. Guest speaker will be Don Emmitt, Class of ’71. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets for incoming Aggie students for the Fall of 2018 $10 and get a ticket for a $250 textbook money raffle. All proceeds from the event will go towards the club’s scholarship fund.
This year’s event will be held at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse and Rodeo Grounds.
