Turkey Roll Bicycle Rally
Nov. 17
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2255 N Bonnie Brae St, Denton, TX 76207. Turkey Roll Bicycle Rally will start at 9 a.m. Work off those Thanksgiving calories before you take a single bite at the annual Turkey Roll Bicycle Rally! This yearly bike race has variable lengths (anywhere from 8 miles to 68 miles!) and is the Saturday before Thanksgiving Day, with all proceeds benefiting the programs of the Denton Breakfast Kiwanis, which includes sponsorship of eight youth leadership clubs (Circle K, Key Club, Builders Club) and their Tiny Libraries project, which provides books for school-aged children.

Wassail Weekend

Downtown Denton Square, 110 W Hickory St Denton, TX 76201. What is Wassail? It is just a fussy Old English word for hot cider. Check out the delicious Wassail recipes at the participating Denton Main Street Association merchant locations around the historic downtown Denton Courthouse on the Square and beyond. Make it a wonderful Wassail weekend and come sip and stroll through downtown. Wassail tasting is free and for all ages. Saturday the fun will also include some live music here and there on the square and beyond, as well as more Wassail stops to taste and select your favorite recipe! The annual Denton Holiday Lighting Festival will be Nov. 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m, the Denton Main Street Association will expand hours for its Wassail Weekend to include Saturday, Dec. 1 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
