CHISHOLM TRAIL 150TH ANNIVERSARY EXHIBIT- Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center. Enid, OK 73644. Celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Chisholm Trail with an exciting new exhibit at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center in Enid from May 5-Sept. 16. Step inside the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation Gallery and learn about the greatest of cattle trails. Guests can also immerse themselves in the stories of the Trail as they sit around the camp fire. 2017 Hotter N’ Hell Hundred – Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall, 1000 5th Street, Wichita Falls, Texas 76301. The Hotter’N Hell 100 celebrates its 36th annual ride in 2017. The weekend kicks off on Thursday with the Consumer Show open to the public from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. inside the MPEC Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall. The Consumer Show continues on Friday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The events kick into high gear on Friday with the 13-mile Wee-Chi-Tah Mountain Bike Race. Then the excitement that the weekend is known for comes to life on Saturday morning with the HH100 Endurance Rides. There’s something for everyone- 10K, 25-mile, 50-mile, 100K and 100-mile. If running is more your thing, then don’t miss the Wee-Chi-Tah Trail Run on Sunday with a half marathon and 10K route. Hotter’N Hell 100 is more than just a bike ride…come out and enjoy the festival atmosphere. This is pure excitement! Taste the flavors of Wise County on an evening out, August 24 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is broken into two time frames this year, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There will be live entertainment from local artists in Wise County, plus door prizes every 10 minutes and 2- $500 Cash Door Prize Giveaways (one per time-frame). Wild West – Art exhibit-Old Post Office Museum & Art Center, 510 Third Street – Graham, Texas 76450. Bring your family and friends out to view “Wild West” featuring Art of Doug Prine. Admission is free. The life and times of people in the old west are depicted in Doug Prine’s art work. His attention toward the details that make up life in the old west is one of the most notable things about his work. Prine achieves his goals of historically correct paintings very effectively by using the aids of period dressed models, historical re-enactments and through extensive research.
