Dog Days of Denton

Get ready to celebrate the 25th year of Dog Days of Denton, a celebration of man’s best friend, on Oct. 6. This is a free event open to all dog lovers! Events include: Canine Couture Costume Contest, Dancing with the Dog, How Obedient is Your Dog, Glamfur Shots, Dallas Dog n’ Disc demonstrations, D.A.W.G. agility course with donations going to Leader Dog Project Pet Tricks, Dog Singing Contests, Spokesdog Pageant. Tarrant County Sheriff’s Posse Third Annual Trinity Trail Ride

Fort Worth Stockyards, Fort Worth, TX. The TCS Posse is an equestrian riding club affiliated with the Sheriff’s Office. Founded in 1958 by Sheriff Harlan Wright, the posse represents the Sheriff’s Office at ceremonial events, parades and community functions, including those at the Fort Worth Stockyards. Since 2016, Stockyards Heritage Development Co. has hosted the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Posse at Stockyards Station before they go on the trail for a fun day of riding, a Chuck Wagon style lunch, entertainment and door prizes given out during lunch. Guided Tour of the North Texas Horse Country

Sulphur River Saddlery 21st Annual Fall Auction

Sunday, Oct. 7 Cowboy Church services will begin at 10 a.m. with the Catalog Horse Sale following at 10:30 a.m. 150 AQHA and APHA horses from local ranches are expected with good pedigree. Wildcatter Ranch Pumpkin Patch

The Dinner Bell at Wildcatter will be offering scrumptious menus varying each day the patch is open. From hot dogs and chili to empanadas and soup— you do not want to miss out!
