Downtown Bridgeport, TX. Sponsored by the Downtown Bridgeport Association and the Bridgeport Main Street Program, the parade takes place on the second Saturday in December in downtown Bridgeport.

Santa on the Square

Downtown, Saint Jo, TX. It’s Time for Santa on the Square in Saint Jo! This year’s Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce “Santa on the Square” Celebration will be on Saturday, December 8 beginning at 2 p.m. This year’s celebration will include crafts for the children, a live manger, a 42 tournament, and a parade, as we anticipate Santa’s. Live manger scene, window decorations, scavenger hunt, raffle tickets sold until 6:30 p.m., and open 2:00 – 4:00 Crafts for the Children, Live Manger, 42 Tournament – see details below, Free Family Photos 2:30 – 4:00 Choirs perform in the gazebo on the square 4:30 Parade, Santa arrives Cookies, Coffee, & Hot Chocolate provided by Saint Jo’s Century Club 5:00 Adult Choir performs in the gazebo 6:30

In additional to our traditional pictures with Santa, we will also have FREE family photos at the event. And of course, children shouldn’t miss their “goody bag” after telling Santa exactly what’s on their list. Merchants and building owners are decorating their windows to bring in the season, so come early and join the fun. All crafts and food at the event are FREE!! 42 Tournament Want to be play some 42? Our 42 tournament will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chamber Building. Entries are for individuals only (no teams). Entry fee is $10 per person. Prizes in addition to bragging rights are First Place $100.00 | Second Place $75.00 | Third Place $50.00. To enter and receive a complete set of rules email the Chamber at [email protected]. Gift bags for the children will be handed out by Santa himself and photographs will be taken. The Chamber will serve complimentary beans and cornbread. The Century Club will also provide hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies during the event. The Chamber invites everyone in Montague county and surrounding communities to attend. Raffle Prize Drawings Join The Parade! Entries for the parade will need to be submitted by December 2, 2018. Entries can be lighted or not lighted. Entries will need to arrive no later than 3:30pm on December 8 in the vacant lot north of Leeton Phillips house. Parade rules and regulations will be received when you turn in your entry. 37th Annual Candlelight Tour of Homes

Tickets can be purchased at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center at 1400 Texas Drive or at the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce at 401 Fort Worth Hwy. Tickets available online at: www.parkercountyheritagesociety.org Tickets purchased on-line can be picked up at the Doss Center on tour day. Locations may be visited in any order. No food, drinks or smoking inside the tour locations. Please ask before taking photos or videos. Adults are $15, Senior tickets are $12 (65+) and children are $12 (12 and under). Wassail Fest

Downtown Vernon, Vernon, TX. Love wassail, unsure what it is and want to try it? Wassail is hot mulled cider, drunk traditionally as an integral part of wassailing, a Medieval Christmastide English drinking ritual. Come to the Wassail Fest December 8, Wassail will be available for visitors to sip and enjoy from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in downtown all afternoon.
Ghosts of Christmas Past

Celebration of Freedom was created to celebrate the freedom we enjoy and recognize our brave men and women in uniform. Festivities feature the Celebration of Freedom Show and Shine, live music, Oklahoma’s largest silent auction, a children’s pageant and activities area, a skeet/trap shoot, kiddie car races, car show, parade, DARE dunk-a-cop fundraiser, food and craft vendors downtown on the courthouse square. Family fun for all ages.
