Lacey’s Pantry: Cherry Cream Cheese Bars

INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter – softened
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 cans (21 ounce each) cherry pie filling
Cheesecake Layer:
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese – softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
Glaze:
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 – 3 tablespoons milk


INSTRUCTIONS
Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F.
With a stand mixer, cream together the butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at time.
Beat well after each addition. Then, put in the vanilla and almond extract.
