Are Skills Learned by Young Athletes Utilized in the Real World?

How much of an edge does the young rodeo athlete have in life by being involved in the sport? This may not be a question many ask themselves, but it might be an idea that has more value than one realizes. If one looks deeply into the solid foundation of success, it may be a little shocking to see how the pillars of a successful individual can be developed in the rodeo lifestyle.

This same question should probably be quickly followed by the question of how much are young people capitalizing on the knowledge, experience and skills they learn while competing at any level of rodeo? As youngsters, are they put on a path to transition the life lessons of their passion to a tangible set of skills that can be used in adult life?
