Each year at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo one individual from each event is crowned the rookie of the year. This is the cowboy or cowgirl who won the most money throughout their first year of professional competition. It is an exceptional honor to win the title, and Kylee Scribner of Azle, Texas has her eyes set on the rookie title for 2021. Scribner cannot remember a time in her life where she was not on a horse.
Riding horses came before she could even walk, and she grew up competing in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, breakaway roping, and ribbon roping. Barrel racing has become her favorite event for a slew of reasons.
