Cattlewomen Work for the Betterment of the Industry

You might just qualify as a “Cattlewoman” if the local veterinarian’s office is the first number on your speed dial and your family members are listed after that. However, to more formally introduce readers to the organizational “role” of Cattlewomen, both local to the Wichita Falls area as well as statewide and nationally, there is quite a bit more to learn.

The chapter known today as Wichita Falls Area Cattlewomen (WFAC) was originally organized in 1972 and was known as the Texas Cowbells.
It became a chartered organization by 1974, and by 1986 had officially changed the name to reflect the local area that was represented inclusive of Archer, Baylor, Clay, Young and Wichita counties.
