As predicted, in March the moment public officials began to mention possibly allowing businesses to open back up is when the buyers began blowing up agents’ phones.
There is indeed a mass exodus from the metropolitan areas, putting even further demand on rural properties in our area. Team this demand with ultra-low interest rates, and a large amount of cash on hand, and you have the perfect storm to allow land prices to skyrocket here in North Texas. We are seeing buyers from all over the metroplex area looking for raw land, as well as improved land for either permanent residences or a weekend retreat.
