Silver bluestem is one of several native bluestems
that are important grasses on North Texas
grazing lands. It is a perennial bunchgrass growing
one and one-half to three feet tall. Leaves are
flat, up to one-fourth inch wide and extending two
to eight inches in length. The upper surface of the
leaves is rough to the touch.
