Happy Cows

By contributing writer David Gregory
I have always liked animals, dogs, cats, cows and horses. This don’t mean I want a lap full of dogs or cats. I once had a lap full of a horse and didn’t like that either. Rooster weighed about 1300 lbs and sat down in my lap when we were climbing out of a canyon. The ground caved off and gravity sat in. I love my family and friends but I don’t love animals. Consequently, I don’t belong to the SPCA. I’m not an animal hugger. I opened a video on Face Book this morning with cattle being turned out to pasture from a dairy barn. They left in a hurry, running, jumping and happy as they frolicked in a lush pasture of green grass. To read more pick up the June issue of North Texas Farm & Ranch.
